My Writing Career is Full of Surprises

It’s been two months since I became a full-time freelance writer. Each day I learn something new.
I had a career in retail leadership. I mean, a full-blown, dedicated twenty-year career. I was ready to run multiple stores. I ran teams of sixty people and helped nine other stores in my district.
I knew every little detail about the company I worked for and the myriad of brands they carried. I could’ve done that job in my sleep — so I quit.
Two years ago, I started writing. I did it because I was compelled. I couldn’t stop. The more I worked at it, the more I wanted to do it. After working at all hours on my laptop, I started to get writing offers and affiliate gigs, so I quit retail.
Today I spent all day in bed with my laptop and dog by my side. Yes, I did get out, shower, and walk the dog; then, I got back in.
All I want to do is get paid to write about crypto
Cryptocurrency was intriguing, but I didn’t know a lot about it. The writing gig I got first was for an emerging platform with a news desk feature. They needed people to write about cryptocurrency and the decentralized finance industry.
